Activities
- 2005 - Present: Owner and webmistress of sleepyglow.net, a multi-faceted web project, home to this Design sub-site and several other things. This is the second incarnation of sleepyglow. Previous to owning sleepyglow.net, I owned acetonic.net, a now-defunct personal site. Prior to that, I owned the typical run of teen websites and one moderately successful forum that had a good run before petering out.
- 2005 - 2006: Worked in a group setting with three classmates under the name Axis Technology Integration as part of a class curriculum on various information technology relevant projects. Together, we designed several websites and one database. Cindy Smith Dance Studio still uses our design.
- 2004 - 2005: Placed in Oracle Education Foundation's ThinkQuest competition, which challenged teams of students to design functional, aesthetically pleasing web sites which also presented educational content accompanied by proper citations. View Cultural Fashions, our Best in Category website for October 2004, focusing on different styles of clothing throughout different eras of time.
- 2001 - 2007: Founded the role-playing game, Bleeding Souls in 2001 and served as an administrator until 2007. Along with a co-team of two, I was responsible for laying the foundation of the game, including the setting and the basic rules. As administrator, I was the primary graphic designer and programmer for the website and forums. My responsibilities also included the social aspects of the commmunity, such as bans and punishment, and other duties typical of a forum administrator.
- 1999 - Present: Self-education in fine art from the age of eleven to present day; virtually no formal education as far as art is concerned, though I do have the desire to learn more. Please see my deviantART gallery for examples of my work. My strong spot is traditional media, though I am certainly not completely unfamiliar with digital coloring. In the future, a graphical tablet will be added to my tools and I will more fully integrate my artistic ability with my digital ability.
